Tea is an important part of Japanese food culture and the most commonly drunk beverage in Japan.
Various types of tea are widely available and drunk at any point of the day.
Green tea is one of the most common type of tea and also it is the central element of the tea ceremony.

What kinds of tea do Japanese people usually drink and when do they have them?

We will pick the tea at a tea farm in Uji which is the one of the biggest tea growing area in Japan
and we will see how Japanese tea culture has been developed and learn the tea history by visiting a temple which has a strong connection to tea culture.
Finally we will experience a tea ceremony at a fine tea house near Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
