Year-end tour with a family from Fukuoka! Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Ginkaku-ji Temple, Gion and Kiyomizu-dera Temple!

A lovely family from Fukuoka visited Kyoto just before the year end.
It was the first time for them to come to Kyoto so they are really excited
with visitng and having a tour in Kyoto.
They took a Shinkansen train from Fukuoka and we met at Kyoto station.
The first stop in the tour was Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine and we took a local train to get there
and we talked a lot about food in Fukuoka and Kyoto.
It sounds like I should visit Fukuoka to eat good food there.
It was busy at the shrine and they were preparing for the new year's day
which a lot of people visit the shrine to pray for the good health and happiness in the year.
We took a train all the way to Demachiyanagi station for our next stop, Ginkaku-ji Temple.
It was much quieter than Fusimi Inari Taisha Shrine and we enjoyed a walk in the temple and
took a lot of photographs.
After getting some gifts, we headed to the Gion district where you can see Maiko and Geiko.
We enjoyed an afternoon stroll along the Shirakawa canal and the astmosphere.
We talked about how drivers in Kyoto drive dangerously.

Before we got to Kiyomizu temple, it got dark.
It was a great day out and I hope they will come back to Kyotovin near future.
