Enjoy an authentic Japanese course style lunch and learn about Kyoto’s food culture

Food culture has been very important and unique in Kyoto and it has been changing with the times but people keep on trying to protect traditional customs or techniques to adapt to our modern life.

In this walking tour, you will walk in the area which was the center of industry and culture of Kyoto when the Imperial family lived, to see how the food culture in Kyoto has been entwined with people’s lives.
You will visit a Japanese miso shop and soy sauce brewery to learn how they are made and used in Japanese cuisine.
At the end of the tour we are going to visit a long-established Japanese restaurant and enjoy an authentic course style lunch.
